Hello lovely people! Wow! Melbourne has certainly been hit with a heatwave. I am a lover of summer but even I am eager for a cool change.
There’s no better way to celebrate summer than by donning a floral skirts. Similarly to stripes, floral prints never seem to date, especially during the warmer months. In fact, I would almost classify a floral skirt as a staple piece that every girl should have in their wardrobe. Floral prints will continue to be explored in autumn/winter 2014 collections however with more of a digital influence.
I have styled my floral skirt below with a ‘crop top,’ which is also a strong trend that is here to stay for autumn/winter 2014.
As always I have provided look collages to offer suggestions on how to style floral skirts as well as included some inspirational street style pics.Eclectica 1980s Clip-On Earrings BLUE AND WHITE PLACEMENT STRIPE CROP TOP AERIN Matte Lipstick, Red Velvet 07 Kayu Dottie Straw Clutch SUNO Abstract Floral Kanga Pleated Skirt JO MERCER Reno Pump Ann Taylor Metallic Clutch TOPSHOP TEXTURED BUBBLE CREPE TEE Bouquet Brilliance Earrings MSGM Floral-brocade wrap skirt Pour La Victoire Veronica Heeled Sandal NARS Semi-Matte Lipstick – Fire Down Below Theory Shirt MARC BY MARC JACOBS Large Hammered Stud Earrings ASOS Liquorish Rounded Cross Body Bag Msgm Blue Satin Floral Print Duchesse Skirt Burberry Snakeskin Sandals
